We pride ourselves on meeting or exceeding the quality standards required by the industries and markets we serve. We designed—and continue to improve—the most widely used power cord testing equipment in the world, the CT100 Semi-Automatic Power Cord Tester. The golden standard for power cord testing, many of the largest global OEM companies require this test on all power cords manufactured for them.

ISO Certifications

ISO 9001:2015

It is with great pleasure Electri-Cord Manufacturing, Inc. is able to announce that we have passed our three year ISO re-certification audit as well as successfully transitioned to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard. The leadership team, led by our Quality Manager Julie Thompson, embarked on a journey to identify gaps that would need to be addressed to meet the new requirements, develop an implementation plan, provide training and awareness, update our existing Quality Management System (QMS) and provide verification of effectiveness.

We conducted weekly ISO Transition Project lunch and learns over the last four (4) months. During this time, the entire leadership team came together, analyzed our Quality Systems and enhanced our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support the proposed transition. The team met weekly to go through a methodical review and preparation for the upcoming audit. All of our efforts paid off in April 2017 when our sites were audited with zero non-conformance’s identified.

“The audit was conducted to ISO 9001:2015 and the Electri-Cord (ECM) management system documentation. The audit resulted in zero nonconformance. ECM has been registered to ISO 9001 for over 20 years. Their commitment to improving their management system was obvious throughout the audit. IATF 16949 Certification

We are proud to announce that Electri-Cord Manufacturing successfully completed the final audit of the TS16949 certification process of our Guadalajara, MX manufacturing facility on January 25, 2016.  This achievement reinforces our commitment to our strategic customers in the Automotive sector and desire to service a portfolio of key vertical markets. IATF 16949 was Developed by International Automotive Task Force (IATF) in congruence with ISO and includes all ISO 9001 requirements plus additions required by the automotive industry.

UL Certifications

508A PDF Certification

Electri-Cord Manufacturing, has been awarded UL 508A Industrial Control Panels Registration (UL Categories NITW and NITW7). This new registration reinforces our commitment to continued service expansion for both new and existing customers. The UL registration covers the design and build of Industrial Control Panels for equipment such as Heating/Cooling, IT & Communications, Utility Systems, Gas/Vapor Detection, Emergency Lighting & Alarms, Commercial/Industrial Gas Burners, Fluid Dispensing, Crane & Hoist, Factory Automation, Power Supplies, Food Processing, Medical Technology, Fluid-handling Systems, and Fire Protection.

Testing

All Electri-Cord products carry the appropriate certifications for their industry and geographic market, and meet or exceed all required safety and quality standards. In addition, we have incorporated automated systems in many areas that have resulted in fail-safe testing on machinery. In fact, we designed—and continue to improve—the most widely used power cord testing equipment in the world, the CT100 Semi-Automatic Power Cord Tester. The golden standard for power cord testing, many of the largest global OEM companies require this test on all power cords manufactured for them. If an issue does arise, our team will work to address the concern and arrive at a permanent solution that meets your satisfaction. We maintain and update a comprehensive Quality Management System Manual, available on request from your regional sales representative. 

RoHS Compliance

When it comes to testing for hazardous substances, Electri-Cord is uniquely qualified to help you with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) testing and certification. Many companies will simply accept the stamp from a supplier that they meet RoHS requirements. We ensure state-of-the-art screening and RoHS compliance, so your products are free of restricted materials including Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyl & Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether.
